1. Security Policy

This Security Policy describes the online security practices of the service DOCWORKS (“DOCWORKS”) and its corporate divisions and business affiliates. “We” or “us” or “our” or “DOCWORKS” refers to DOCWORKS, LLC and its owners and/or affiliates. DOCWORKS is strongly committed to protecting the security of all transmissions over our website and the privacy of our customer’s and member’s information. We attempt to ensure that DOCWORKS remains available to all users by employing software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage to us or our customers or members.

2. Security Precautions

DOCWORKS takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via our site that information is protected. When a form on our applications asks users to enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. Furthermore our credit card processing is done via a third party process service which is equally committed to privacy and security and maintains the most current version of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards or PCI DSS for all DOCWORKS authorized transactions. PCI DSS is the bankcard industry's most stringent security standard.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information, we also do everything in our power to protect customer-information off-line. All of our customer information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices.

1.0 Description of Service – Limited Use License Agreement

DOCWORKS operates doc.works, which is a web based real estate transaction document preparation and review service whereby lawyers and law firms can elect to register and (registered Users under a paid plan will collectively be referred to as a “Member”) become a Member. As a Member you can direct your title company and real estate transactional clients to register as a client (registered Users can be designated as a “Client” under a paid Member plan) whereby clients can then submit document preparation requests through your private Member specific DOCWORKS portal direct to the Member. Upon submission by a Client for a document request DOCWORKS via its software will create the request and create a draft of the requested document for legal compliance review by the Member.

DOCWORKS streamlines and automates traditional document requests into a quick and simple approval process that allows for ease of reviewing the request, maintaining legal compliance by requiring an attorney to review (revise if necessary) and approve the prepared document draft that is created via the DOCWORKS system through a web based email interface and allowing for easier tracking and collection of payments for document preparation work by automatically creating and submitting an invoice to the Client for each request which are then typically paid out of transaction closings. DOCWORKS saves its Members and their Clients valuable time and resources in processing prepared document requests.

DOCWORKS, LLC and doc.works is not a law firm nor legal entity and operates merely as a service for law firms and lawyers who wish to provide their Clients with a better way to request prepared documents.

DOCWORKS provides a secure online and confidential document request preparation process, with bank grade security SSL certificates with extended validation and encrypted databases, for the transfer of Member and Client submitted information including credit card data for processing fees, instructions and messages back and forth between Members, Clients and DOCWORKS regarding document requests and any relevant terms and conditions.

By visiting and using DOCWORKS and its services as a “Member” or as a “Client”, You as a “Member” or “Client” are licensed to use the Content only for the purpose of accessing the site and using the services or accessing the services offered on this site. The downloading of the whole or significant portions of any content or any database output is strictly prohibited. Resale of any Content or media in digital form or otherwise, or database or portion thereof, is also prohibited. Violation of this License Agreement may result in legal action being taken against you and will result in immediate removal from DOCWORKS and termination and revocation of all account member access and content.

2.0 Registration Process

To become a Member or Client, the User must complete the registration process by providing DOCWORKS (or its service providers, like payment processors) with current, complete and accurate information, as more specifically required by the then current registration procedures. By way of illustration and not limitation: to register, prospective Member/Client may be required to specify a username and password, and to provide a name, address, zip code, and legitimate electronic mail address.

In order to obtain certain Member services (for example, document requests), Members may be required to provide detailed information about its Authorized Payment Method for billing purposes which would include specifying a valid credit card or verified PayPal account that will be used to make payments within DOCWORKS (the Authorized Payment Method).

Each Member and their Clients shall maintain and update their registration data from time to time, to ensure that it is always current, complete and accurate. At its sole discretion, DOCWORKS may refuse to accept any User's application to register as a Member for any reason.
